4 Bedroom Cabin in Big Canoe

Looking for a vacation rental that doesn't just feel like a house in a different location? Welcome to our original Plummer Cabin--built with large vaulted ceilings, pine plank floors, and wide ceiling beams that remind you this is a true cabin experience, but with all the amenities and views you expect on a getaway vacation. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful mountain cabin in the exclusive Big Canoe community. We are approximately 1 hour from Atlanta, but a world away. You'll have lots of activities to choose from all within Big Canoe including pools, lake beach area, canoes, rock slide, fishing, miles of hiking trails, tennis, golf, etc.! Amicalola Falls State Park and Gibbs Gardens are also within 25 minutes of the cabin if you're looking for even more options.
This is a 100% smoke-free cabin. All forms of smoking, vaping, or e-cigarettes are not allowed in or around the cabin, including decks and property.
No pets allowed. The wide-gapped original pine floors are not friendly to pets' feet & nails.

Cleanliness is a top priority for us. All surfaces, high touch areas, and floors are thoroughly cleaned to provide you with the accommodations you deserve for your family. Rest assured knowing all linens including blankets and the top comforters are washed in between guests. Yes, this takes a lot more time and effort than 95% of places, but it's what we would want in a vacation rental.
Enjoy 4 bedrooms (3 king beds), 3 baths, full kitchen, and game loft. Take in the serene outdoors from our peaceful deck that includes a screen porch, outdoor table, and seating area--complete with a propane fire pit. On a clear day, you'll be able to see the Atlanta skyline in the distance.
•Kitchen: Main level, well-stocked with pots/pans/dishes/utensils, dishwasher, electric stove, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, air fryer/toaster oven, blender, mixer
•Dining Areas: Dining table seats 6, 4 bar stools at kitchen counter, additional table by window seats 2, screen porch table seats 4, outdoor table seats 4
•Living Room: Main level, 65" TV, Sectional sofa with pull-out queen bed, Keurig (both drip and k-cup), shuffleboard table, puzzle/game table, access to deck & screen porch, amazing mountain views
•Master Bedroom: Main level, King bed, private bath, ceiling fan, closet, dresser, hardwood floor, mountain view
•Bedroom 2: Main level, double bed, TV, ceiling fan, closet, dresser, hardwood floor, bathroom attached (bathroom has door to bedroom 2 and cabin entry; if cabin entry door remains locked, bathroom is private to bedroom 2)
•Loft: Upper level, 55" TV, couch, loveseat, game table, board games, arcade, electronic pinball, ceiling fan, can be additional sleeping area for kids in sleeping bags (carpeted floor). The arcade is a retro emulator arcade which features all the arcade classics from the 80's through the early 2000's--games like Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Centipede, Pole Position, Donkey Kong, Frogger, Space Invaders, Super Mario Bros, etc.

Summary: This cabin was wonderful, and the views were beautiful. We’re already planning a trip back later in the year to take better advantage of the outdoor activities in the area. The property was clean, spacious, and packed to the brim with amenities, even more than what was just on the listing. For a group with several professional chefs and hobby cooks who had planned a full weekend menu including a multi-course dinner, the kitchen in particular was great — we were surprised by how well stocked it was for a rental property.Russell and Paula were EXCEPTIONAL hosts. They were very communicative and quick to respond. They were able to work with me on a last minute logistical request with no fuss, and they were even available at 9PM to help guide us to the property when our GPS misdirected us on our way in! Overall a great experience, we have nothing but positive things to say. We loved our time at this property!

Summary: What an amazingly beautiful view this home offers! Big Canoe itself is beautiful but the view from the back deck of this home will shock you! My friends and I enjoyed our few days relaxing here, as well as hiking and trail riding throughout Big Canoe. We also enjoyed having the personal Chef Hannah Noltemeyer come up and cook for us on our last evening. The home was stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable vacation. Thank you!!

Summary: If you are considering a stay at Big Canoe community, don’t hesitate to book this home! The house was located deep into the community with a fabulous view from its high perch in the mountains. All of the bedrooms were cozy and comfortable (and the rain showerheads were especially incredible after a day at the lake or hiking the trails!). My kids and teen loved all of the video games and shuffleboard, and we all enjoyed the large couch perfect for movie nights. With a fully stocked kitchen (and coffee bar!), you will be very comfortable for a short or long stay. The hosts were available, but we never needed them as all information was provided in a binder and we didn’t encounter any issues at all with the home.

Summary: My wife and I are frequent VRBO users and most of the places we stay are really really nice, but Sweet Retreat is the crown jewel. This was the best VRBO property we have ever stayed and Russell and Paula were the absolute best hosts. The home was immaculate, the decor was amazing, the views were great, and all of the small touches (i.e. snacks on the bar, nice quality kitchen appliances, games, etc.) made such an impression and made the stay so much more enjoyable. Additionally, Russell and Paula were amazing hosts. They provided clear directions, more information than we needed, and were very responsive. If I could give them six stars I would. We are very much looking forward to returning to Sweet Retreat at some point in the future.

Summary: This property is amazing! It exceeded my expectations! The host has thought of everything you might possibly need. The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. Summary: Sweet Retreat is a beautifully maintained cabin that feels connected to its mountain cabin past with updated appliances, fixtures, and finishes. We loved sitting on the deck around the fire table at night, surrounded by fall color, and watching sunsets and moonrise. Great location for exploring N. GA. Very clean and comfortable. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend Sweet Retreat. Our family group gathered from FL, AL, and WA for the first time together since before COVID. It was perfect. We'll be back.
